Feeling better starts with moving better

Moving better starts with discovering which physical impairments or restrictions are leading to your discomfort and pain. Once we learn, we work to improve those impairments. Once we start improving, we start moving towards our peak performance.

WHAT I SPECIALIZE IN

Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation

With over 5 years of training and over 3,000 treatment hours, I can provide education and intervention to help clients with urinary, bowel and sexual dysfunctions including but not limited to:

  • stress/urge/mixed urinary incontinence
  • urinary frequency
  • voiding dysfunction
  • post prostatectomy
  • constipation
  • fecal leakage/seepage
  • Endometriosis/PCOS
  • pelvic pain
  • pain with intercourse
  • coccyx pain
  • back pain during pregnancy
  • postpartum pain and weakness
  • cesarean recovery

Manual Therapy

I will perform manual intervention to reduce soft tissue restrictions including muscle tension, trigger points and joint pain. The clinician uses her hands as well as instruments including stainless steel tools and silicone cups in order to manipulate the tissue and provide the patient with the best outcomes.

Orthopedic Rehabilitation

With a sports medicine background and advanced orthopedic training, I will treat the operative or non-operative joint dysfunction to improve motion, coordination, strength and stability in order for the client to return to their prior level of function.

Movement Analysis

You don’t necessarily have an injury that is preventing you from participating in recreational sports or fitness or preventing you from completing your daily tasks BUT you experience pain or discomfort every day and want to know if there are ways to improve your current status. I will analyze your movement during several different functional movements to determine if there are any physical impairments contributing to poor quality of movement causing microtrauma to your body’s musculoskeletal system. Once your impairments are identified, you and the clinician will make a plan to improve them.

What I try to provide for YOU

When you walk in the door, I want you to feel secure and significant knowing you have my sole attention. I want my approach and plan for every treatment session to be customized to you and your current status that day. “No two days are the same.” Sometimes progress isn’t a straight line but by the end of your course with me, you should feel like you’re on the path towards peaking OR you are peaking.

Feedback from my clients...

Lindsey is wonderful. She is so relational and intuitive in the way she approaches women with pelvic floor health issues. It made something that at least initially seemed uncomfortable very “normal.” AND I have made progress with the target issues I came in with, as well as expanded progress with long standing issues that I didn’t realize overlapped.

Endometriosis

I have been seeing Lindsey for a couple of months now, and I could not have made it through my pregnancy without her. She has a gentle one on one approach, and has been instrumental in solving my back pain issues. I could not sleep and after just 4 sessions, I was like a new person. She educates you about what is going on in your body, and provides exercises for you to do at home specific to your needs. In these last few weeks of pregnancy, she has helped me so much with lymphatic drainage, and she has also shown me how to sit and stand without putting so much strain on my body. I highly recommend Peak Performance for all your physical therapy needs.
